Edmondo Occhipinti

Edmondo is the founder and CEO of 3.im, with over 20 years of international experience in digital engineering, energy, oil & gas, and infrastructure. His career began at Gehry Technologies, where he developed a foundation in advanced design and digital delivery, before leading large-scale asset digitalization and transformation programs across Europe and the Middle East.

At 3-ng, Edmondo brings a clear vision: to bridge legacy infrastructure with the energy systems of the future. His leadership combines deep engineering expertise with a native digital approach, making 3-NG a dynamic and highly competitive partner for hydrogen repurposing, decarbonization, and energy transition initiatives.

Lead Pipeline Engineer

Lorenzo Bernardi

Lorenzo is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer (MIMechE) with over 20 years of international experience in the design and delivery of complex pipeline systems, with a particular focus on hydrogen infrastructure and energy transition projects. His expertise covers the full spectrum of pipeline engineering, including routing, mechanical design, stress and fatigue analysis, materials selection, and above-ground facilities, applying industry codes such as ASME B31.12, IGEM TD/1, DNV, ASME, API, and ISO. He has played a leading role in the conceptual and front-end engineering of hydrogen distribution networks and associated low-carbon infrastructure, as well as high-pressure gas and CO₂ transport systems. As a recognised subject matter expert in hydrogen pipelines, Lorenzo contributes to industry initiatives advancing best practice and innovation in safe, sustainable energy transport.

Subsea Pipeline Engineering Manager

Dario Gravina

Dario is a Subsea Pipeline Engineering Manager, holding a M.Sc. in Hydraulic Engineering and also PhD. candidate in Fracture Mechanics with the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow Scotland). Dario specialises in unique challenges associated to conventional hydrocarbon transportation and most recently hydrogen infrastructure. Dario expertise is centred on ensuring the structural integrity and safety of subsea pipelines subjected to hydrogen embrittlement - a phenomenon Dario have researched extensively.

Dario is currently leading multidisciplinary teams in the design, engineering, and integrity management of complex offshore pipeline projects, with a current focus on the nascent field of hydrogen transport. His background provides a critical foundation for mitigating risks associated with hydrogen-induced cracking and material degradation in subsea environments. He has adapted at navigating the intersection of advanced theoretical fracture mechanics and practical offshore engineering, driving innovation to develop safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for the future energy landscape.

Dario goal is to leverage this specialised knowledge to pioneer and deliver world-class subsea hydrogen pipeline systems.
